Oxygen Sponsors Bury Foundation FC Under 16s

As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering Social Value, Oxygen Finance is delighted to sponsor Bury Foundation Football Club Under 16s squad.

Bury Football Club, based in Lancashire, is one of the longest established clubs in English football, but after going into administration in 2020 they dropped out of the Football League. The club has recently taken back ownership of their ground Gigg Lane, and will be playing this coming season in the North West Counties Premier League. It promises to be a historic season for the club.

Oxygen Finance are proud to support the newly set up Bury Foundation FC u16s, by providing kit sponsorship. Bury Foundation FC is an important asset to the community, run by volunteers who give up their time to ensure young people in the area get an opportunity to play football.

“Bury FC Foundation are grateful for team sponsorship and the opportunities it provides for our players. We are a non-profit making organisation so receiving sponsorship allows us to remove financial barriers that may stop young people getting to play football.

“Football benefits both the mental and physical health of our young members. It allows them to build their personal development. Improving social and communication skills. All key attributes that allow them to thrive and achieve in the future. Sponsorship is not just about paying for a kit, the benefits are far more valuable and in turn the young people get to play the sport they love, football.”
Diana Golding, Chair, Bury FC Foundation

Oxygen Finance are committed to delivering social value through our client programmes, by supporting our local communities, and looking after the well-being of our colleagues (including playing a little football ourselves!). As a company we provide similar support to other community-based organisations and hope that this sponsorship enables young players to represent their club equitably and benefit from the support and opportunities provided by Bury Foundation FC.

The U16s team had a fantastic start winning their opening game 3-1. We hope the wins continue, and we wish them every success for the season ahead.

Go Shakers!
