Oxygen Finance and Local Partnerships have entered into a new strategic partnership designed to deliver even greater value, efficiency, and insight to their combined network of public sector clients.
With a shared mission to support the public sector through knowledge sharing, best practice, and innovation, the two organisations are ideally placed to collaborate and respond to the evolving needs of the sector.
Local Partnerships is an in-house consultancy jointly owned by the Local Government Association, HM Treasury, and Welsh Government. It delivers value and efficacy for the public purse, acting as a vital link between local and central government to support effective public service delivery.
Oxygen Finance specialises in payment control, procurement process innovation, and public sector market insight. As the UK’s leading provider of Early Payment programmes, Oxygen helps local authorities generate savings, support supplier resilience, and optimise internal processes.
This new partnership brings together complementary strengths in insight, delivery, and network reach. By working more closely together, Oxygen Finance and Local Partnerships will drive more impactful support for public sector organisations, helping them to meet rising demand, navigate legislative changes, and implement new models of service delivery.
A key element of the collaboration will be the CPO Advisory Forum – a cross-authority forum that convenes procurement leaders from more than 50 local authorities. The Forum facilitates open discussion, promotes best practice, enabling attendees to benefit from shared expertise, and Local Partnerships will take a lead role in providing valuable content drawn from their extensive experience within the sector.
As part of the partnership, Local Partnerships will also use Oxygen’s Insights Spend and Pre-Procurement data to help their clients make more informed, strategic decisions and to uncover more opportunities for combined working and cost savings.
“This partnership is a natural evolution of our shared work supporting the public sector,” said Libby Daniels, Director of Client Services at Oxygen Finance.
“By working together more closely, we can increase the value we deliver to our clients—bringing deeper insight, more opportunities for collaboration, and greater support for the challenges they face every day.”
Natalia Silver, Director, Local Partnerships added:
“We’re excited to formalise our partnership with Oxygen Finance. By combining our expertise and insight, we’re confident this collaboration will bring added value to the public sector. Initiatives like the upcoming CPO Advisory Forum are just the beginning of how we’ll support local government to improve outcomes, deliver value, and better serve communities.”
