Case Study
Oxygen Finance has launched over 60 early payment programmes in the UK and the experience the team has gained now benefits all the clients we partner with. For an early payment programme to be successful, the project implementation must be thorough and we work hand in hand with our clients to achieve this; Processes must be optimised to ensure that the organisation can process invoices efficiently, stakeholders need to be informed and engaged, and suppliers must be educated about the programme and reassured about the way it will work for them.
Derbyshire County Council launched its Early Payment Partnership offering suppliers the opportunity for invoices to be paid ahead of their contractual payment terms in exchange for a pre-agreed rebate. The team at Oxygen Finance worked closely with Derbyshire County Council to implement the new programme; project managing multiple workstreams across technology, process optimisation, internal and external communications, with teams across finance, procurement and the wider organisation, to ensure that the Council was ready for go live.
Commenting on the support they received during implementation Mick Crawford, Head of Exchequer Financial Services at Derbyshire County Council, said “Oxygen have provided excellent support and knowledge with a genuine friendly, can-do approach.”
“This has been one of the best projects that I have worked on. The oxygen team are all very knowledgeable and extremely hard working and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and when they said they would be happy to help it happened. Their systems and processes have been well planned and they made the project flow as smoothly as possible. Their professionalism really helped the project team gel very quickly and this helped the project stayed firmly on track. A great team effort.”
